HD info needed please

I think I know the answer, but just want to confirm

Sunday in the local Best Buy, the Direct tv rep was giving his pitch to a family & I heard him say that Direct was sending their HD programming in
1080P. That isn't correct is it? Only VOD programs are 1080P

Directv is sending HD in 1080i and 720p depending on channel

Only the PPV is 1080p
