If you have the new 5LNB dish, but have the HR10-250 HD DVR, can you still get your HD locals through DTV or is it a must to have the HR20-700?

You must have either an H20 or HR20. These are the only two receivers that will decode mpeg4 signals, which is how your local hd channels are encoded. The same is true for the hd rsn's, except those shown on channels 94 or 95.
