I was looking at that at newegg some time ago. I think it would work recording anything except 1080p. A nice solution.

Love mine. I use it to capture 780p from component / optical connection on my mac powerbook using eytv3 and burn to DVD for playback on HD-DVD and/or BluRay using Toast. I preview on DVR, and if worth saving, burn it before deleting from DVR.
