because of the problems with HDMI outputs on 942s and 622s, I've been looking for an HDMI switch so I can connect both my Dish 622 and my DVD player to my HDTV (which has only one HDMI input).

Most of the ones I'm finding are silly expensive ($150+), but here I find this one that is only $30 and has rave reviews (granted, on their own website).

Does anyone have any experience with this HDMI switch?

thanks.

I have not bought any of their switch's but I have bought their HDMI Cables which have work fine.. They are a good place to buy from so I would think their switch's are fine..

I have the 5x1 and 2x1 switch from monoprice and have been satisfied with both of them. Mine are the ones that have a remote, not manual. Good quality.

I have the 5x1 from monoprice with remote. Works great. The only thing that did not work with it was the Sony upconvert DVD, it will only output as 720p from DVD when it was connected to switch. I returned and got a LG model, which had no problem.

I've got the one referenced in the link. Works great! I use as a switch between my 622 and Sony upscaling DVD player. No noticable loss of quality as far as I can see. BTW, the monoprice HDMI cables I bought with it are excellent.

I've posted this before ...

Here's a 5 to 1 switch with a remote control for $200, or $240 with cable sets:
http://www.octavainc.com/HDMI switch 5port.htm

They have a 2:1 version for $160

And one from Lindy for $120 with 3:1 switch w/remote:

A low-end push-button 2:1 switch that can handle HDMI or DVI from Markertek for $39:

And then the monoprice $29 2:1 manual switcher:

I've heard of people using the $39 markertek one with good success.
