I once had a Heathkit scope, built by someone else. Different model. Used it so little, I finally gave it away. I wonder if I could even remember how now, after so many years.

What do you need a vector scope for?

Most common use for these is setup of color analog cameras and editing, but today most of this work is done in the digital domain. My last field application for a Vectorscope is to setup the green saturation with the lighting for a chroma key Green screen set. Otherwise I would have no use for these scopes. Modern Digital chromakeying is pretty forgivable so you really don't need anymore than an eyeball. :)

I have two old ones here ( Tektronics ) and a little box that superimposes a scope set ( WFM, Vector and Histogram) onto an analog video monitor.

heathkit stuff was great. its sad the company stpped making kits.
