:confused:I had my 622 connected in a room in the upstairs of my house.... we just finished the basement and I am moving it to the basement.

All worked fine when I disconnected it. I take it downstairs and connect to an outlet I had already down there. When I turn it on, it takes for ever to do anything and then the only channels I can get are my locals... when I try to change the channel it says that it is trying to acquire the signal.

I have a Dish 1000 system. where the cables come in to the house there is some DP44 something that is connected to a power supply.

Is there something unique about the 622 that I didnt realize when trying to move it? all of the other receivers are working as they were so I know it isnt a problem with the satellite.

of course when I call Dish, they do the check switch and say they have to send a technician ...... but i really need it fixed if possible and I feel like i have just done something wrong...

Please advise.

It sounds like it is not connected to the SAT. Are you using a seperator to connect your 622? Is it connected properly? Do you have another reciever you can use to verify the same results?

the line that comes in to the receiver has a seperator that splits it to both of the inputs in the back of the reciever.... this is how it was upstaris, should I disconnect that???
