Hd locals roll out in my area in March. I allready have the h 20 and will self install the dish in march. Is there something that I will need to do to activate the mpeg 4 , or will the channels just pop up on the menu guide and convert to mpeg 4 once the dish is up.

I honestly think the channels will pop up if you have the HD Package. I thought about just buying the dish and the h20 but have been hesitant.

the channels will pop up automatically on their own, no need to contact directv or anything

only thing you need the locals SD from directv for to work
