Help needed on new order!!

So I placed my order this week for the following:

1 HR34
3 HD receivers
1 SD receiver

My thoughts were that every HD receiver would use the HR34 for recordings but then I have given the following thoughts to my 7 year old's use of the system.

If he is in the play room and he wants to run to the bathroom and he is watching live TV he can not pause unless he hits record which will start recording on the HR34. That solves that problem as long as he gets the hang of it pretty quick. The other concern I had was when he goes to watch a recording how hard is it to truly control that list so he sees only the programs that I want him to see on the HR34 but will not impact the HD receivers in the house?

My other thought was to just bite the bullett and get a second DVR.

Thoughts?

Also with that many tuners how many lines will need to be run into the house?

since right now you have 9 they will run the SWM16 which is 4 lines from the dish to the switch inside the house
even if you switch it to a DVR then you have 10 so it still needs the SWM16

Thanks.. IF i drop the standard receiver would it just be 1 wire?

as it stands above yes. 5 for the HR34 + 1 for each HD receiver = 8
