Help with a splitter off of a tap!

you could. 3 joeys would be pushing it. if the hopper was direct Ethernet connected I would do two max. I am still not sure why it is not working with taps.
2 taps and a splitter is 3 components between receivers, so I can see where there could be an issue. I would talk the customer into letting you run an exterior run for at least 1 hopper so as to get the tap off one host cable. I know exterior cable runs aren't the best idea, but it might be all that saves you.
You know I was just thinking,
Is the system set up with broadband connectivity? And if so how many times is the system connected to broadband?
Make sure you have only 1 connection type for the entire system and enable bridging and then also change thé frequency for the moca network to full scan.

Ok so I pulled off one tap and used a 3-way splitter on the other tap. When I did that all the joeys and a the hopper started working fine. However I have to link all joeys to the hopper with sling as the hopper would not let them connect. I am not sure what or why and I hoped that if a let it sit for the weekend I would be able to link one of the joeys to the other hopper to even the load.
If you disconnect the hws from power, Can you link to the Hopper?
