Help with Hopper setup

I installed my first Hopper with Sling today and ran into a problem. The switch check went fine and it got to a screen that said, ' Downloading software - don't touch Hopper etc'. It stayed on this screen way past the twenty minutes it said it would take and at the bottom of the screen it displayed, 'waiting for download'.
Do I have to contact Dish to have them initiate the actual download? Any help will be appreciated!!

No. It should do it if it has proper satellite signal. When on that screen press *#*.

Call DISH tech department and let them walk you through it. I had my replacement hopper come this week and it hung on authorization for 20 minutes. I called the techs and the guy said pull the plug and let it reboot. I did that and it came backup authorized.
