Guys not sure if I have my motor set up 100%

I can get tv from 99w through 53w below 53 west I get nothing at all, on 101 w, 103 w, & 105 W I get transponders but no channels. I do not know if this is good or bad.

Thanks

Tony

What transponders are you getting? Is your LO set properly for those birds?
Anything past 105?

Nothing past 105 w
I do not know what "Is your LO set properly for those birds?" means. So I can not answer that.
on 101 w I am getting transponders, 11710 / 30000 / H, 11870 / 301226 H,11970 / 30000 H,11825 / 4090 / V, 10760 / 4099 / V, 10860 / 30000 / H, 10946 / 32999 / H, 11020 / 29875 /H, 10975 / 4099 / V

on 103 W I am getting 11610 / 30000 / H, 10839 30000 / H , 10879 / 30123 H,
and on 105 i seem to get intermittent ones 11610 / 30000 / V , 11890 / 300000 / V , 11760 / 30121 / V

Thank You very much

On 103W, as long as the settings are correct in your receiver, 11943 V 2000 (Beach cams) should come in okay. You may need to adjust skew on the LNBF, however, I just switched from an offset LNBF for 103W to motorized setup on my 1.2 m and it seems as though everything is being received as well (or better) now.

Think your LNBF frequency ( Local Oscillator ) is set wrong, on some satellites, in the receiver. ( Should be in the satellite setup ) as the 'band' we receiver is 11700 to 12200 ( and sometimes up to 12750 ), nevber below 11700 on a CONUS satelllite.
What LNBF ? Should be a label on it. What receiver?
LNB LO Frequency - 101

Thanks guys,

i have found where i can change the LNB selection witch is no set to Uni.(9750/10600) and the transponder range i have 36 to chose from, the list i am using came from the factory, on my Amiko A3, what do you suggest for 103 W? is there a cheat sheet?
Thank you very much

The LNBF LO frequency is 10750 on your LNBF. Part of the configuration of each satellite is to select the correct LO frequency that matches the LNB's LO frequency. As the satellite signal high frequency is down converted in the LNBF to a lower IF (Intermediate Frequency), the receiver must match this LO frequency to properly tune or log the transponder frequencies.

I wrote a great LNB LO FAQ a few years back that you might find interesting and helpful:

ok if i am understanding this correctly. the only setting i should be using under LNB is Uni.(9750/10750) ?

What LNBF do you have?

If you have a standard 10750 LNBF it would not need to be set to universal at all just 10750.

I have a GEOSATpro SL1 - Bullet 0.4 Linear HD LNBF, it came with my dish.
I am guessing that the (Uni.) in Uni.(9750/10750) stands for universal?
thanks

Yes Uni is for universal and you have a standard. Set your LO to 10750 only. :)

Well now, that seems to make my blink scans run faster, only two steps now.
I also have settings i can chose for transponder ranges, (about 30 or 400 is there a list that i can reference for a satellite?
I have just been going down the list bind scanning on 103 w with no luck yet.
thanks

Thank You! now i know why i was not getting anything on 73 W
lol
Thanks(book marked that puppy.)

Hi Guy’s,

I have my LNBF set to KU(1075) when I scan 101W I get transponder 12060 / 30123 / H

103 W

11760 / 29875 / H

11761 / 30123 / H

105 W

11760 / 29875 / V

11761 / 30000 / V

12039 / 30123 / V

But no channels. It also looks like the channel search is starting at 50% not at 0%?

I am doing a blind scan, mode all, Net set to NIT off (what is Nit off / on?) and polarization is set to auto.

Thanks

Is the receiver set to scan only one polarity, if so, that would explain 50%.
11760 / 29875 / H - Manually change it to 11760/ 30000/ H and do a TP scan. Should get the NBC channels @ 103W. If not, don't think you're aimed at 103W.
Use 11760/ 30000/ H to manually aim at 103(?)
NIT - A transponder that also broadcasts other TP info of a network. Don't think I've seen it used on any FTA TP, only the subscription birds.

hmm thanks guys,
I need to give this a rest and re grope in a day or two.
I must be off the arc.
to hot out there to move my tv out there now.
Thank you
