HHgregg Direct Offer legit?

Iceberg or anyone please advise ASAP:

I have my Direct Install for this Wed.but plan to purchase a new TV at HH Gregg and they have a promo for Directv with a $300 Visacard (through HHgreg) with new Direct Service set up in HHgreg onsite with any tv purchase. (I did have direct over 10 years ago) but this would be a new install now.

Could (should) I cancel my scheduled install and go for the HHGreg promo to save $300? Any suggestions? Could HHgreg gcharge more for Direct? Would I also still be able to be referred by a friend to get additional rebate?

They had no idea about offer- referred me back to HHgreg who did not even know it was in the paper- since September!

Yep. I cancelled my install with Direct and went local with no problem.

That is a dealer offer we do not issue the 300 dollar gift card. I know of the offer but unfornately HHgreg has only given us a little information on it, but it strictly a dealer promotion not a DTV promotion.

I am saying the offer is legit and you can cancel your Direct install.

I cancelled my install and used local.
