I purchased a Netgear XE102 plid and my 622 in the LR gets an IP fine, today I added a 722 in my sunroom about 30 feet away and no IP, I can run an extension cord to the next room and it gets an IP so it seems it must be a wiring or breaker issue. If I move the sunroom breaker to a different location in my panel would that help?

Thanks,

Mack

I do not know if that would help or not, but it might. Are you plugging into a GFI outlet? Those are supposed to be bad.

Can the two receivers see each other with Dish Comm?

Also if you connect a laptop to the PLID and use the Netgear software, it should tell you if you can see the two receivers and at what signal qualities. That may not fix anything, but it might give you more info for trouble shooting.

Thanks, yea I've done the utility, and the strange part is signal looks good but cannot get an IP until I connect it via the extension in the next room. The two receivers do talk once they both have IP's.

Homeplug

The built in Homeplug is also defeated by multiple outlet converters...eg; the kind that convert two outlets into 6. And powerstrips.

If your wall socket is powering more than two things, it seems the homeplug chip will NOT connect thru to your router.

Breakers will NOT affect affect the operation of homeplug.

129 Satellite question.
