I know this is probably way optimistic, but does anyone have an idea of how many 4k satellite recordings the Hopper 3 can perform at once (and how many tuners are used)?

Thanks,
Tim

right now? all of them with no tuners :)

Yes,
I understand that I am being optimistic (and am also talking about concurrent capabilities). If I had thought about this when the BBC Series Planet Earth II was being aired, I would have checked the tuners in use then. I wasn't around when the olympics were televised in 4k on Dish. I was wondering if anyone remembers if there was more than one 4k channel airing at the same time and if you could record more than one at them same time..

Thanks,
Tim

We would need more than 1 4K channel to try it. :)

That has to happen at some point, right? I know that Dish is the "budget" service and Directv does better with 4K and sports, but Dish has to catch up to one step behind. I think we went through this with HD channels years ago.

Thanks,
Tim
