I have a issue with my Hopper 3 during playback of a DVRed program.
What happens is this.
I am watching playback of a program on the DVR I stop playback then switch to live TV, when I go back and resume playback of the program I was watching on the DVR, the program doesn't resume where I stopped playback but resumes 30 to 40 seconds ahead of where I stopped playback,
That means I have to hit the rewind button on the remote three or four times to get back to the place I stopped playback from originally.
Is this a common issue or is this issue unique to my Hopper 3?
Thanks

That happens when I'm watching via my Joey 2. I don't notice it when resuming on the Hopper 3 unit even if I've paused it on the Joey.

Happens all the time to me. I just back up before actually pausing. Not the worst Dish bug, as we all well know. My black flashes on another thread are far more annoying.

So do you guys think this is a software issue as opposed to a hardware issue?

U511 Software breaks control of a Remote Hopper3

Initially people were thinking that Dish did this deliberately to discourage people from having multiple hoppers. Scott said that this was not the case but it was a bug with the latest software that Dish will fix. J Sheridan has stated that it is probably a low priority since there are few customers with multiple hoppers that play content on their remote hopper.. This Friday will be one month since Dish broke this. I have always been a defender of Dish but I am getting frustrated. Since it worked well before the latest software update, Dish should be.able to figure out what they need to change back to fix this. They are hurting their most expensive customers.

Thanks for the replies.
I don't think the issue you are referring to is the same as the issue I am having.
I have one Hopper 3 and the forward and rewind buttons are working properly.

From the other Hopper? They functions work great at the Hopper you're sitting in front of, it's when you try to control the other Hopper from that spot that the bugs show up
