Hopper DVR defaults

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to change the dvr series default to record only new episodes instead of always defaulting to new and reruns?

Yes, you can do this. Just edit the timer for the event in DVR - red on remote - Timers. Select the one you want and then Edit Timer.

Thanks Matt but I meant is there a way to make this the default setting, so from now on anytime I hit record series it would automatically have "only new" selected instead of "new and reruns"

If the show you select on the guide is a new episode then the timer will default to 'Only New'. If it's not a new episode then the timer will default to 'New and Reruns'.
