Hopper losing recordings

Ive had the hooper and one joey for about 6-7 months and have had no problems. About two weeks ago i started noticing recordings would all the sudden go missing. I called dish tonight and they are sending a new hopper box out. Its gona suck bad to transfer all my recordings too. Has anybody had this problem?

I get a black screen when attempting to play back a DVR recording, wonder if my Hopper w/sling needs to be replaced as well.

Mine was doing the black screen and other problems, until I did a hard reset by unplugging from AC for a couple minutes. Its undoubtedly the software update causing the problems.

This was a problem with some Hoppers early on, but I haven't had any trouble lately. Come to think of it I never did find out how the last episode of Desperate Housewives turned out.
