Took a while to do this, what does all this mess mean anyways?! Is it good bad or do I need some adjustments? Whenever I run a system test it tells me there is an alinement problem? Do I need to call DirecTV?

What type of dish and receivers/dvrs do you have? Are you getting any hd channels at all? Are you supposed to? Do you have a swm setup? Do you have bbc's installed?

1st off i dont have any HD channels (i dont subscribe to any hd programing), I have an R22 DVR in my room and 2 additional receivers just standard silver receivers.... Not sure about or what the swm setup is and I beleive the bbc is built into the R22... correct?

Bbc's are not Built In to any of the recvrs you mentioned.
I don't thing you need them if your not trying to get any HD.

Ah, I get it now! The R22 can be authorized to get hd channels, but because you don't have hd, you don't have the bbc's installed. That means you won't show any signals from 99 or 103. Like Jimbo said, the R22 doesn't have bbc's in it, only the 23 series boxes do. The swm is a type of lnb that is used with hd installs.

Nah you're looking good. All you need is 101 and maybe the 110 or 119 for locals. I think you're ok.

The R22 can only be authorized for HD if you have a "legit" HD receiver on the account. When I upgraded from SD to HD I have 2 R22's and they wouldnt be authorized for HD unless I had a HD receiver. So I got a H23 with the install and the R22's automatically got HD turned on.

What is weird is normally it would only show 101, 110, 119 in the signal meter if no HD is on it. But I assume because he is using a Slimline that is why its showing 99 & 103. But yeah if you're SD only you're fine.

his SD locals are on 119 so he does need that sat (since he is SD only)...If his location is right, he is in the Knoxville TN market which is on 119

what dish do you have? A slimline or a phase III?

What happens if in the sat setup you put "3 LNB" (ie: phase III) regardless of dish. Otherwise I wouldnt worry if the channels come in fine

a Phase III is smaller and has 3 equal sized "eyeballs"...the slimline unit has a bigger setup

slimline 5 LNB setup (since you mention 119 this is what it looks like)

Phase III looks like this...well this is actually the LNB setup of a Phase II. The old Phase II dishes allowed you to put separate LNB's in it and has a external switch. Phase III has 4 outputs and it one LNB mold
