I need to install my D* tivo box in an upstairs room. It would be a huge undertaking to run two new lines to the room. There is already one line run, so is there anyway to use diplexers or something to deliver two leads to the room from a phase 3 dish without stringing more cable? If I need to use a switch for this, is there one that will work outdoors? I'm trying to do this the easiest way possible. Thanks.
;)

You can diplex only an OTA or maybe a cable line, not another DBS line. You can still use the Tivo, just tell the setup that you have only one connection, not two.

In order to do what you want to do you will need to purchase a stacker/destacker system. This is quite costly. But, it will allow both tuners on one cable line.

Thanks guys.... That is what I was afraid of.... I guess I'll just run two new lines. Thanks for the info though.

It would be nice if D* would release a multiswitch like E*'s DPP44 that has that kind of thing built into the switch.
