Just what the title says! When I set Chrome to re-open previous tabs upon startup, it gets the current versions of all the pages in the tabs. When I set Firefox to re-open tabs, it always opens the cached version. Since most of my tabs are news, weather, or other realtime data, this is pretty annoying! I Googled for suggestions and there were a lot of recommendations to open the about:config page and change browser.cache.check_doc_frequency from 3 to 1. I did this, but it has no effect on the behavior. I've tried on two different systems, one Linux and one Windows.
