You can't to the computer, the files are encrypted. You could to a DVD with a DVD recorder.

Set a digital camcorder on a tripod in front of the TV. Record TV screen playing the show you want. Transfer from digital camcorder to PC. That's probably the only way to do it.

You might want to take a look over at yahoo groups for forums named dishrip and dishmod. Wouldn't say it has what you are looking for, and certainly, it would be assuming that you have a high degree of technical savvy, but you might just find something you are interested in.

Legaly, It should not be done. Physically, it can. All you need is a PC capture card and use the analog outputs. I have done it many times. The only drawback is you have to record it in real-time.
