How Do I Change Recording Extension Time Permanently?

I would like to change my recording extension time for athletic type events from 30 minutes to 1 hour and keep it at that 1 hour permanently. Right now it defaults to 30 minutes. Is there a way to do this?

Unfortunately no, there is no way to make it default to an hour. I wish there was.

You could change your recording preferences to add an hour, however, this would add an hour to everything you record, not just sports.

That would not work for me. This seems like an elementary requirement but I guess these days they aren't spending a lot of time or money on the satellite firmware.

It would be nice if DVR's could auto adjust for overruns.
