[Other Topic] How is a station suppose to ID?

I honestly don't know Jim
I just know in January the ID was different than what I heard over the weekend

Back in January it was
"Sasquatch 106.5 is W293CT Duluth/Superior. Also heard on WEBC 560 AM Duluth"

But now its
Sasquatch 106.5 is WEBC 560 Duluth superior cloquet hermantown
The rest of the ID was the same as before "Bob and Tom in the morning and great classic rock for the Northland all day long. Check us out online at squatch rocks dot com"

so they dropped the translator and added a few nearby towns to the ID in its place. I'm sure they have the FM ID buried so that the human ear cant hear it

on a sidenote this is one of my favorite ID's

Its for "KFGI 101.5 JACK FM" in Crosby (about 15 miles from Brainerd)

Or as their ID at the top of the hour says

Broadcasting from the middle of nowhere in a building that looks like a barn........(cow moos)....... Uh yep it's a barn.
KFGI Crosby Brainerd.... this is the new 101.5 Jack FM'

Their building does look like an old farm barn (drove by it many times)

When I first got into radio (1971), we had to do a Legal ID as close to the top and bottom of the hour as possible that didn't interrupt the flow of the program, per FCC rules. It was the Call Sign immediately followed by the city of license. Anything else was not required, but allowed. For example, any of these were fine:
"WABC, New York"
"Playing your favorite music, this is MusicRadio 77, WABC, New York."
"WQXI / WQXI-FM, Atlanta"
"We are Super 79, KULF, Houston"
I never worked at a station with a translator, and HD was in the future back then. Eventually the rules were relaxed to only a top of hour ID, but station imaging made it almost redundant.
