hello how many feet does a ku band fta dish need to be? my dishnetwork 100.2 is about 2 to 2 and a half feet is this 2 small? also it is possible to aim it differently and get fta? when I rtried my coolsat I found the free fta that dishnet had and noticed when a sithed person was telling me other sattlelites that some had varying signal strengths does this mean they are with in reach? Hank

An FTA dish should be approximately 3 feet. The LNBFs on a Dish Network dish are circular polarization and cannot receive the linear FTA signals. The 100.2 dish is too small and the wrong type of LNBF for FTA.

FTA satellites are weaker than the Dish Network and each transponder on the satellite can be a different strength. The strength of the transponder largely depends on the cost of the service.

Buy a larger dish with a linear LNBF and you will start finding these FTA channels!
