I posted a question on how many receivers can be ran off a Dish 1000 ? I understand a 1000.2 would solve the issue, but if I can get a DP44 off ebay for $75-$80, would that work ? There are only 2 cables running from the 1000, would I run a 3rd cable from it to the DP44 to handle all 3 LNB's ?

I'm running a 622 (two lines), 811 and a 508 from my Dish 1000 with a DP34 switch. When I upgrade my 811 to a 622 I'll have to either get another DP34 or upgrade my lnbs to DPP (unless Echostar loses the pending patent suit) and get a DPP44.

If you already have a DP34 you don't need to change LNBs to use a DPP44. There are no special DPP LNBs. The DPP44 can get 110/119 from separate DP LNBs, a DP Twin, or a DPP Twin.

Assuming a Dish 1000 with three DP Duals, I could hook up 768 receivers. Of course, it would also require six Sonora RK1-32ALH Hubs and 192 DPP44's.

True, but the question was how many receivers could be run off of a Dish 1000. It didn't specify commercial or residential, or exclude third-party equipment.

Okay, How about How can I attach 2 dual tuner receivers and a single tuner receiver to a DIsh 1000. Option 1, DP 44 Switch, Option 2 Dish 1000.2
