How much is your Hopper bill?

I'm curious as to what people are paying for Dish Hopper/Joey service per month. I was prompted to write this after seeing the latest Dish commercials saying that DirectTv customers pay over $100/month and Dish customers pay 30% less. I've had my Hopper setup since August of 2012 so I guess I'm still in my 2-year contract. I have no premium channels and just signed up for the Protection Plan since I needed a service call. I'm guessing my bill won't get any lower until my 2-year contract is up and I call a retention specialist.
Monthly Charges
America's Top 200 64.99
DVR Service 10.00
Joey Receiver 7.00
Joey Receiver 7.00
Joey Receiver 7.00
Protection Plan 7.00
TOTAL: $102.99

Over $100 is not exactly $100, so who knows how they got to that or what the actual figure is. (Meaning it could be a range they came up with $100 to $105 for example, but for advertising it just sounds better to say over $100)

But coming close to that 30%, most people get the top120+ according to DISH. And I would say most people with one hopper are paying $14 less than you. (Two Joeys not three, and no protection plan) So that is ......wait.... $30 or about 30%!

Remember, most people who regularly post here are not a good representation of the average DISH subscriber, that includes we tend to have higher packages.

Yes, in the other threads on how much your bill is, it's all over the place as we have folks with different set ups and programing packages

Mine is at $133 with 2 Hoppers, 3 Joeys, AT250, BB@H, & DPP. My bill is up about $30 since going from the VIP722 & 612 to the 2H/3J setup. I don't know if it is worth it per se, but now all TVs have HD and access to both Hoppers DVR.

What was your point? Less functionality, less receivers = lower price? Gee who'da thunk... Just for grins, here's my 722k account :-

P.S. I'd like to see you get a second 722 for $7/Mo ;)

No, point, just that I'm happy with what I got. ;) (Except for those unused referral credits)

I'd have to have six 722s for the same tuner count as my four Hoppers, on top of no WHDVR...

$17x5 = $85
Add $7 and that's $92!!!

With the grandfathered fees (sometimes early adoption pays off) it's only $31 for four Hoppers plus $7 for each additional Joey, not to mention WHDVR. Even without grandfathered pricing it would still be a far better deal. Even with 612s and the new Hopper fees you pay less for the same tuner count (did I mention WHDVR?) and only $5 more if you needed two additional Joeys for six outlets.

Oh and let's not forget PTAT (three extra free tuners anyone?) and the massive HDD space in comparison. AutoHop is nice, too. WiFi/Ethernet-capable Joeys? Now that's a plus!

Sorry lol. Just sayin'. The 722 is only good these days for saving money on a single receiver setup or HD/SD combos. Still a wonderful machine, but the Hopper certainly isn't overpriced by any means!

WHOA! Sorry, I didn't mean to light a fire under anyone. :) Maybe I was just feeling a bit left out. :D

One thing I wish Hopper had was two OTA tuners like the 722k, though. All of my receivers are OTA-equipped, came in handy during the Raycom/Media General disputes. Not to mention the slightly better PQ.

Well to be fair this was posted in the Dish forum and not the Hopper forum :) .
