I installed a 24" dish to try to improve my 82. It only raised the signal about 5 points on the meter on the receiver. Is this normal?

Thanks.

I was trying to go from a D500 for 91/82, the N2 transponders were in the high 60s, to using 2 dishes.

I guess I was just expecting more than 5% from such a larger dish, especially since the D500 was doing both 91 and 82.

Now I know that this is just normal.

On a related note, has anyone tried using Dish500 Twin on a SuperDish to get better reception?

Is it worth it? Probably not... I'd get a 30 inch or larger depending on your signal.
