I hear this all day long from customers who complain about rain fade, and they just blow this out of proportion.
The fact of the matter is no matter what provider you have, your always going to have some sort of problem every once and be without service.
With Dish, or Directv you might loose service for 10-20 minutes several times per year, often at times your not even watching TV. Where as with cable, the loss of service will be less frequent, but you might be without service from a few hours to a few days.
The only solution to cut down on rain fade is to get a bigger Dish, but in most cases its not worth it!
