I have a TIVO model HR10 250 that I would like to re-activate. Since it was last activated they installed a new SWM LNB dish. Can I use that dish together with the TIVO? I have access to the all the cable runs, the power inserter and the switch. If the TIVO will work with that dish, do I run the cable (I only need to use one tuner on the TIVO) from one of the ports on the switch? Thanks for any help.

The HR10-250 is completely incompatible with a dish that has a SWM LNB. However, if one has a non-SWM LNB with a SWM8 multiswitch, it will work using the legacy outputs (but will not receive any HD channels).

Thank you for that info....I will call Directv and see if I can swap out the old TIVO for a new receiver.
