Hey guys, need a little help.

I dont stay at my house full time, but both my HR20s are on UPSs so its not a power issue..

What happens is after 24-36 hours they both lock up. No other symptom just lock up... a RBR takes care of the issue for another 24-36 hours.

this has been a problem since may and ive tried everything i can think of except a clear and delete everything. I called Directv and before i could even tell them the receivers were locking up they told me to do a clear and delete.

So I ask, has anyone else had this problem? Ive had both these receivers since August 07 without any other issues. Im using the stock hard drives. Have made no modifications.

Thanks in advance

Are they connected to the internet in any way? I am not 100% sure , but I do not think just because they are attached to a UPS means that you can totally rule out power as a possible issue.

yes they are both connected to the internet, however my networking gear is on a UPS and the cable line coming in has a surge arrestor on it.

I tried leaving them disconnected from the net at one point as well... that didnt have any effect.

The reason i finally remembered to post was that one went down this morning while i was watching tv.
