HR20-100 trouble with SD recordings

when playing if i fast forward they freeze up and become unplayable. thought it was only with ch 604 but now it happened on another channel.
no other troubles. ever hear of this ?

Tried running a test on the unit yet? May be a possible HDD beginning to fail?

The HR20-100 is the earliest of the HR series.
This could be an indication that the unit is starting to fail.
If I were you, I'd watch anything on that unit and replace it.

Actually the HR20-700 came out before the -100, but your point that it is an older unit and more likely to fail is valid.

now had same thing happen on another HR20-100S unit. same channel 604

my HR23-700 does not have this trouble.
