Hey Rad,
Good to see you ,
I was just about to ask if anyone had any CE info for tonight, I was looking about an hour ago and nothing was listed !!!

Jimbo

Anyone have a idea why you need to enable DoD again after taking this d/l??
Maybe the recent National release which
includes DoD, has something to do with it?

Earl in the DBSTalk chat said hold off on the HR20-700 download, there's an issue. They hope to have it resolved still tonight. You might want to keep an eye on the chat over there.

I just read thru the post and see nothing stating that you have to re authorize DoD

Earl posted later:

People downloading this version...

You will have to execute the IWANTMYVOD search and MENU+INFO procedure to enable DoD

Earl is now saying it might be ready in 15 to 30 min as of 10:05CDT

Great, while I was posting my last post , I just saw yours and started D/L on my -700.
Did not see the post to NOT D/L ...
When I started, it found at least trying to find O17E, is this a new one or an old one, I can still stop it seeing it has not seemed to find anything yet ?

Jimbo

17E is an old one, the last was 1B4, if you haven't hit 90% yet just hit the red button and reboot the box, after 90% do not hit the button.

you can stop it before it hits 90 percent just be resetting it.

Ok ...
Resetting on the last known NR I guess.
Hope I don't lose any thing doing this.

Here's a question for you guy's :
I think that if you were to start doing the CE's tonight, we'll say, I would imagine that it would D/L all the previous info from the begining of the last complete load, you guy's understand what I'm saying ?
You would get the benifit of everything we have previously went thru, not just the current stuff.
That sound right ?

I just woke up, in case your wondering why it sound like I can't think straight ....

Not sure what you're asking. I think what you're asking, each CE is a complete code replacement, not just updates to some modules. Until the download hits 90% you can reset the box without bricking it, after that the box starts the process of overwriting the code on NVRAM.

Looks like after 11:30 so far, stand by ....

I can't keep up with the Chat room, but thats what has been posted so far as far as the -700 goes.

Anything for the H20-100 tonight ?

Jimbo

OK, the HR20-700 is good to go, x01B9 is now in the stream.

As for enableing VoD/DoD, you only need to do that if you've not enabled it before, if you did you're still OK.

So like all the other CE post info has said, IF you D/L'ed 0190 awhile back you are still good to go.

btw, , getting new software fine now :up
