So only way to guarantee is to have your upgrade order processed for it.. The HS17 is not given out to new customers.. Also be aware with the HS17 you can only 2 4K programs at a time

There was a post a couple of days ago by an installer claiming that he is using the HS17 for new installs, so it may be regionally dependent.

I think its just the initial release, you'll see others getting it eventually ...
It does make sense, seeing the Not new subs rarely get anything ... period.
Its all about getting the new sub ...
Of late, they have been giving big discounts to not new subs.

I have had no lags since I’ve Gotten the HS17 it’s worked no complaints here either

Yep, that's me ... lol ... just put one in, a week or so ago, for a new customer here in North Carolina.

There is slight lag in the wireless clients but nothing worse than I had with an HR44 and they're in rooms with little use and no channel surfing. The wired 4K clients have no lag at all.

That would depend upon the customer.

No more than to get any other Genie (HR44, HR54) that I'm aware of. "Your mileage may vary"
