HTPC build

You will never have a 100% hardware solution for HD audio.
I think we will, one way or another.
PAP will be implemented on onboard audio next year.
Either commercial or VLC/MPC/Foobar/etc. players should be able to bitstream
lossless codecs by then (talking only about DRM-free hard drive copies of BD movies).

BTW, ffdshow supports Dolby TrueHD decoding since the beginning of this year

Well I got my imon remote programmed today for TMT3 and now the setup is sweet. Love it. I can even sit there and take snapshots during the movie with the click of the remote.

Wow the new Diamond 5870 is available for preorder at 400 bucks at zipzoom. http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=10011252&prodlist=celebros
Supposed to bitstream everything. Way to rich for me. But in a year a MB for 100 bucks will replace it?

Don't forget you get the fastest video card in existence as well. I don't think it's a bad deal if you are a gamer...
I wouldn't be surprised if the bitstreaming features are added to every 5-series card by year end...

I think so. That will be based on Intel chipset with onboard audio/video.
