Do you have the other 3 HSV locals in HD thru Dish on the 61.5? If so, how is the quality?

I do get WAFF-HD NBC, WHNT-HD CBS, and WZDX-HD FOX from a second dish pointed at 61.5.

As reported previously in this group, I find the 1800i NBC and CBS pictures a little softer than OTA due to DISH reducing the bitrate from what is broadcast.

The FOX 720p looks the same as OTA. They don't reduce the bitrate.

It appears WAAY-HD ABC will be added soon. :up

I believe it was back in April when 19, 48, and 54 went up, WAAY was uplinked, just not available.

As I look back at the old uplink reports, I couldn't find it, so like I said, I might have been wrong. As far as PQ goes with the other channels, I think it looks great. However, I'm unable to get OTA to compare.

I am 35 miles from Huntsville. I have talked to the station manager and to a supervisor at Dish Network about this problem. Channel 31 station manager told me that they are uplinked, and it is Dish Networks problem. Dish told me that they were not uplinked. I got tired of the lies, so I bought me a new over the air antenna to pick up all of the HI Def channels from Huntsville. I have a great picture. I hooked the coax from the antenna to my 622 box and now the guide is displayed and I can use my DVR with the channels. Where I live I can also pick up the Florence channels at 80% without moving my antenna.

WAAY-HD is and has been uplinked as long as the other 3 stations in HD have been.

All DISH has to do is flip the switch but WAAY has to say you can.

OK, according to the last uplink report WAAY was moved to 61.5, I'm seeing it on 110. Yes I do have a wing dish. I've done a check switch, reset receiver. It still showing on 110. Any ideas?

Yes and no.

WAAY-DT HD was uplinked for a time, but they never came to an agreement. DISH finally removed WAAY-DT HD. It was never available to subscribers.

If they have recently started to uplink WAAY-DT HD that is a good sign it may show up soon. :up

DISH Failed Digital TV Test 12/17/2008

Dish failed the Huntsville digital TV test at 5:25pm on December 17, 2008.

I did the split screen on the VIP722 with TV1 on the DISH HD WAFF-DT feed and TV2 on the DISH SD WAFF feed.

The HD feed was fine. The SD feed got the message about not being ready and to call some number or log on to some website.

I thought DISH was supposed to get the digital feeds in November.

I am sure they will get it taken care of before Feb. 17, 2009.

Maybe.
