Ok, so quick review after a few hours

The Apps....Pretty cool feature

On Demand..Missed it, love the way its layed out

HD Picture, very good but maybe my eyes are not trained "satellite Guys" eyes dont see a huge difference over Dish

Nice to see my RSN in Full Time HD

MLB Channel...nice to have it back

The interface, Direct one day needs to update it, but oh well

The worst part...Learning where the channels are

Also on a smaller scale, love the way the Directv Homepage/Account Page is set up, I see they gave it a facelift

Did not think this would be a big deal either, but its also nice to have Sprout for the kids to catch a bit of tv that the little one likes

Your contract with Dish is already up? I thought you just switched a few months ago?

Sisters install went well today. So now she is a D* HD customer.
Only one gripe. They only had HR21's on the truck.

OH well. It seems to work fine, but slower then the already slow HR23.

Another nice touch with Direct. Wings in HD on local RSN, Tigers in HD on RSN Alternate...nice!

The full time RSN in HD I also love.
If you like sports try the double play feature when you have two games you want to watch you can pause between games and jump back and forth. Nice feature.

For setting up a favorites list best way is print what your subscription is and manually install. That is a pain first time but once done you never have to look at unsubscribed channels or channels in say non HD that you will never watch. For what ever reason channels that I get option has even unsubscribed channels.

I agree that PQ is no better, but very happy with the service .

So how does one go about getting a repeak of your satellite, while under the protection plan?
Or lets just say I might have to move it but don't really want to mess around with repeaking it myself.

Will D* do this?
