I am paying for foxnews, hgtv, hallmark twice since I have cable.

now they have lost daystar, familynet, 3abn, golden eagle, and more I cant remember.

the channels are going down and the price up.

what is the purpose in keeping them now?

Take your pick from any of the reasons below, why I keep SkyAngel

- I have a lifetime subscription
- Worship Network, IMO worth the entire subscription price
- 3 or more chances to catch David Jeremiah every weekend
- Can watch Fox News without the fear of Enzyte ads inserted by Dish
- It's a ministry not an entertainment service. They need our support and prayers.
- Saves money compared to other long distance companies!
- Not available in stores!

ok, I stole those last two from "Dogbert's Secret Management Handbook" :D

That's why I have them now. (And only them, since we downgraded from Dish 180 for a while.)

I know it doesn't help their business model, but I can't see paying monthly for just this. I hate having to pay Dish's "because we can" fees for DVR and an extra receiver, but I don't have much choice on that.

We do manage to keep our 522s fairly full, especially with HGTV stuff now. :)

I have a lifetime subscription too but would pay $15/month if I didn't. Even without 3ABN and I am an Adventist! My kids love KTV and that is worth $15/month. Losing Spirit really does hurt because that was an awesome channel. I am glad they have it on at night but I would like to see it 24/7.

I do pay DISH $5/month extra for my second reciever. I have it in my den and the other in the living room. The kids tend to control the TV in the living room so I watch most of my programs in the den.

* I have a lifetime subscription, whatever that means
* there are some good shows on SA, like 'light thru the night', & some of the shows on KSBN 9711, during the sabbath hours
*I can't think of nothing else.

We have Sky Angel, to replace our Direct TV programing which we dropped.
We watch the two Halmark channels, Fox, and Guardian, the most.
We are retired and the programing is cheaper than Direct, or Dish, so it is fine for us.

I got Sky Angel for the 24/7 music audio and video channels. They dropped the southern gospel tv station and air one and klove since i got it. But I like many of the other stations including radiou and tvu and spirit. I watch many of the programs on sky angel that aren't music also but mainly enjoy the music stations. Bananas comedy is also one of my favorite shows on skyangel, along with Pastor Greg sitcom.
