I have a 120cm dish for review arriving from our new sponsor, Sadoun in the next few days.
It'll take the place of my trusty Winegard which is sitting on my SG2100 positioner.

Here's my dilemma:
I'm situated on the East Coast and with hurricane season almost upon us I don't want to lose the dish or damage the positioner.
In high winds I usually take the reflector off my Winegard (4 simple bolts) until the winds are over.
Can anyone think of an easier way for me to secure the dish? I'm worried that the reflector on this will stress the positioner too much, causing it to fail.

I know some of you are dangerously inventive and I'd love to hear your ideas.
Cheers all.

It has nothing to do with the question, but I like the avatar :)

(I wonder how long before someone wil copy it)

I would motor way over to one side or another then maybe put a tarp. over the whole thing and tie it down..........

If the motor fails I know where you can get one cheap ;)

I dunno, I know how long theirs will last though ;)
About 2 minutes.

Pete, how much for the motor off Icebergs roof? I could do with another for the dish in the front lawn the wife doesn't know I'm planning.
