i'm i correct in assuming that a 3900 will work with a dp+44?

I currently have the superdish one dish for the 61.5 sat and a dp+44 switch.I was under the impression that the dp+44 switch has a built in adaptor so that the older ird's could use the dish pro lnb's.

Yes you are correct So long as you feed the 3900 from your dp+44 switch
