If you are talking about IR RF extenders (the cones), they are all basically the same. The most reliable IR extender I have seen is the Xtra Link 2 by Xantech. It has an IR receiver that connects to existing coax line, and at the receiver end, a coupler that allows you to extract the signal from the coax, anc communicate with your equipment with IR emitters.

Cost for it is about $50 on ebay, but is well worth the cost. It is 100% reliable.

Good Luck
