Has anybody had DirecTV install a dish into a concrete pad? The pad is 2ft by 2ft on the side of my house. I am just trying to keep the dish off my house. Yes there is a great line of sight to the satellites.

Is this part of the “standard install”?

Thanks in advance for your responses.

Its not standard stuff ....

There are set ups that are flat that would sit ON the pad, same as the roof or patio mounts, but I don't know if guys carry them on thier trucks.

There are set ups designed to place cinder blocks on the mount as well (patio version).

Made using 16 gauge steel and such a small base, I don't think that post would be a good choice for a Slimline setup.
I've installed them many times and they are pretty strong. I wouldn't put the dish at the top though.

Installing antenna on a concrete pad is a very good idea. I, personally, like it very much. There is one I made year ago. There are more than 600 kilos of concrete in the ground. Fixed the metal to the concrete by anchor-bolts. It is also possible to adjust verticality of the pole.

Claude that’s what I was thinking of trying with anchor bolts drilled right into the cement
I didn't consider it at first since it seemed the dish would be so low, an issue in the winter. Then I looked at your location!
