Installing and Aiming DirecTV

Hi, I am new here. I am thinking of buying a SWM5 LNB, and was wondering what tools I need to aim the dish.

I researched on websites and they said you need the (ASL unit) inorder to aim the dish using single satellites to get signal.

I have some experience with aiming satellite dishes, and do know how to set the elevation and the tilt.

I also have one of those cheap satellite meters that makes noise off ebay.

Also, what is Dithering? Someone please explain to me.
