I can't seem to find the answer online so maybe someone here knows.

Can a 36in international dish with the DTV36LNB for that dish be used to receive regular non international birds on the DTV system?

Second, if so, how would I wire two individual dishes for two different birds then feed them to six receivers?

The 95W international dish can carry an additional 101W LNB to receive DIRECTV domestic service from 101W. But that would only get you SD programming, plus the programming carried on satellites there is scheduled to be radically changed by April of next year anyhow.

You'll need to upgrade to HD service with a Ka/Ku dish in addition to the international one.

For the lowest cost approach to this, see my posts on the dbstalk forum thread here ...

The good news is that less than a year from now the need for the international dish will go away, and everything will be available via the Slimline. Until, you'll need two dishes or watch in SD only.
