international channels

hey peeps i was on the lyngsat site and saw a list of italian channels on hotbird. i was wondering if id be able to view them,and if so what equipment would i need
 
Hello Welcome to SatelliteGuys.US!

Unfortunately the Hotbird satellites can't be seen from this country.

The only FTA Italian channel viewable from this country is Telepace on the IA-5, this would require a FTA DVB system with a 30" dish and KU LNBF.

We have a FTA area here at SatelliteGuys with some more info on FTA International channels from around the world.

Hotbird is only beamed to Europe. USA is not under the footprint, thus you can't get any signals...

If you look at their footprint map, the green mass of land on the left hand corner is not North America. It's Greenland.
