Internet hook up

I will like to hook up my DVR to the internet. What do I need?

It all depends on your setup and what DVR you have. More info on your setup is needed to give a good answer.

On the internet side, you need an ISP and a router. Then probably an ethernet switch for the actual connection.

On the receiver side, we need to know more about what you have now!!!

If I may hop in here, I had the same question.

I have a new install coming this Saturday and was wondering about connecting to the internet.

Since It's a new install, I'm assuming I'll get an HR24?

Do I just need to plug into my network? Or do I actually need to pay the $25 internet install fee?

Also, would I need to plug in each receiver that I wanted VOD on, or is one ison the network, will VOD work on all boxes since I'm getting the whole-home service?

Are you getting the Whole House DVR installation (AKA as MRV)? If so, then all required equipment will be supplied. This will include the Internet Connection Kit for getting your system connected to your internet provider. How many receivers have you ordered?

If you signed up for the Whole-Home Service just make sure to let them know you want your hardware connected to the internet. This way the installer should bring a Broadband DECA with him for your install.
