Maybe the IOC should have awarded the games to Pyongyang,North Korea based on how this article describes the IOC.

To me, this was an EXCELLENT article and the United States is the perfect example of why it may not happen here for a while. WE do not need an Olympics to establish ourselves as having "it".

Makes you wonder sometimes what the IOC was thinking. At least they had enough common sense to award the 2020 games to Tokyo.

I'd prefer we NOT host mega expensive sporting events. I'm not buying it that they pay for themselves. They just enrich a few at the top.
