iPhone tethering

Not sure how long it's been there, but I noticed I now have the internet tethering option on my phone. Ver 3.0.1 firmware.

Where do you see that?

In my network settings section. Turned it on and tried it on my work computer and it didn't see it. I'll try it on my home machine tonight. My phone is jail broken but I haven't done the Tethering/MMS hack because I did it before and my Visual Voice Mail quit working. Had to do a complete reset to get it back.

Odd. I have 3.0.1 and do not see that option.

Not sure why it's there unless it's included in a Cydia app i have installed that I don't know about.

Ok, this is strange. Was going to check it on my home machine, and now the option is gone.

S/W burp for a feature to be enabled at some time in the future?

Stuff like this happens. Yet my MiL insists if the computer says so, it must be right. Until she followed some directions she printed off from some mapping software she owned. Still having a hard time with the concept that the computer isn't always right.
