Is 3ghz R6 cable "required" for Hopper 3 to work?

We are moving next month to a home built with 2007. It is a rural property that apparently had Dish service at some point, but not for the hopper. It looks like it was wired for whatever the Dish standards were in 2007. The idea of re-wiring a 2 story 3000 square foot home sounds like a nightmare.

Does anyone have experience with this?

You will probably do just fine with the existing cabling. My H3 is working just fine on a cable that I installed myself in 1987. If nothing else, the only cables that would require the 3ghz is the one from the dish to the hub and from the hub to the H3. The Joeys work just fine on lesser cable.
