Ok turns out someone bought the hopper 2! So I have no idea what to get as there is no more hopper 2's with joeys and the other hopper 2's are overpriced and is going for the price of a hopper3! So would a hopper duo with a Joey be worth it? I would prefer an option where I can run multiple joeys as I need dish in 3 rooms, I was thinking about Wally's but they can't record

You do realize that the Hopper 2 will support the Hopper+ whenever that product is finally released. The Hopper+ will allow any app from the Google Play store to be downloaded and integrated into the Hopper 2. So, there goes that part of your argument.
I'll be shocked if there aren't a non-stop slew of glitches and bugs when this is all released, not to mention the Memory issues with the Hopper too, once the snap has to be removed.

Ok well I found an even better deal! So I'm getting a hopper 2 with a wireless access point 2 and a wireless joey which will cost me only 50$ but after buying a remote or 2 it will be around 60 (Dose the 40.0 work with the wirless Joey? If so I will only buy 1 54.0 remote. Also this is a really good deal as the original asking price is 200 but they said that they would accept 50!

Don't worry about the remote. I'll include a 54.0 remote in my next shipment to you. I offered it for free to anyone who wanted one awhile back in another thread, but nobody claimed it. Enjoy! (To answer your question, both models will work with the wireless Joey.)

I'm going to get a hopper 2 with 3 joeys (one is a super Joey), and the eBay seller said he might accept an offer of 40$ is it worth it? I'm getting it mainly because I need more app functionality and I need the joeys. Also when I buy it if they accept the offer, is there any recommendations for what else I should use it for other than ota and the apps? -if you haven't seen my other threads I'm not going to activate it as I don't have dish but am wanting to get into dish
I have 2 Hopper 2's and 2 Joeys. Love them. Reliable. Only had one go bad in the past 6 years.
