Is Cnn (or Dish) forcing us to watch a commercial screen?

When I first started this thread I was having the commercial freeze on two channels. I finally got a rep at Dish who said they were aware of the problem and would try to fix it by today. Guess what? They did it! I have been watching these two stations most of the day and the commercials that would always freeze the screen, eg, "The Movies" documentary on CNN, are now running just fine. Don't know what happened but for once Dish came through as promised and on time - and yet another rarity! Kudos!!

I've been getting these for several years now. I don't and can't connect my H2 to the internet, so it has to be downloaded through the satellite. I get them during live TV or anything recorded. Sometimes the commercial(s) repeats over and over until I rewind or change channels. It's such garbage.

I've seen the inserted ones run twice, back-to-back, but not loop endlessly (thankfully)...of course I don't have a Hopper either (722k)...

No problems with inserted commercials on my H3.

I've seen people complaining about all kinds of horrible problems with 622's, 211's, 612's, 722's Hoppers, Hoppers with Sling and now the H3, but for some reason I had little of such stuff come my way.

My 622 had a poor HDMI port - replaced, my 722k had a hard drive fail, but none of this exotic stuff you guys find.

I feel al bit left out of the excitement.

I think you had plenty of "fun" along with the rest of us when Dish switched guide data providers...
